our Beef
All our beef is from cattle which are mainly grass fed and raised by John and Alison Spensley in Thorlby, near the Skipton shop. They finish and select heifers to our specifications from a mix of breeds including Herefords, Angus and Limousin.
We hang all our beef in our purpose-built unit for a minimum of two weeks before cutting and then hanging selected cuts such as steaks and ribs for a further two weeks, ensuring the perfect flavour and texture every time.
Our Pork
All our pork is sourced from farms in Yorkshire where pigs are reared outdoors.
It’s a huge favourite with us as butchers becasue it’s so versatile and tasty that we can offer you joints and products ranging from sausages to joints, chops to mince, bacon to our famed pork pies, which means there is very little goes to waste.
