We were invited to take part in The Battle of the Butchers at The Great Yorkshire Show this year as one of 12 participating butchers from across the UK. We had great fun and the judges were impressed with our produce!
On Tuesday, the opening day of the show, we competed in the first heat against three other butchers and had 2 hours and 45 minutes to prepare a display of innovative meat products using meat and ingredients provided.
It was great to see some friendly faces in the crowd cheering us on and sharing our delight when we were awarded:

On Friday in the Finals of the competition we came away with the award for ‘Best Innovative Burger – Overall Winner’ for our tasty Mexican Beef Truffle burger. We reckon that officially makes us Burger Kings now!
